DHAKA: A Dhaka court asked Criminal Investigation Department of Police to submit probe report on April 17 in Bangladesh Bank cyber heist case.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Ansari reset the date ad after investigation officer of the case failed to submit the report on Wednesday (March 13).
With this, CID has missed 58 dates for probe report submission in the heist of $101 million from the central bank's account with Federal Reserve Bank of New York in February 2016.
On March 15, 2016, Bangladesh Bank filed the case with Motijheel Police Station.
On February 1 this year, Bangladesh filed a lawsuit against Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) of Philippines, with a court of United States of America, over the heist of $81 million from Bangladesh Bank (BB) reserve.
Later on March 6, Rizal Commercial Banking Corp of Philippine filed a defamation suit against the central bank of Bangladesh for "vicious" public attacks in connection with an $81-million cyber heist.
