DHAKA: Country’s both the bourses --The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chattogram Stock Exchange (CSE) -- opened Wednesday’s (April 10) session with a marginal loss and continued the trend for around two hours.
DSEX, the broad index of the country's premier bourse, lost 5.05 points while the Selective Category Index of the port city bourse fall 44.38 points.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 5.05 points or 0.09percent to 5313.69 points at 12:15pm.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also declined 4.18 points or 0.33 percent to stand at 1228.81 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, shed over 5.14 points or 0.27 percent to reach at 1,895.38 points.
Turnover stands at Tk 1,095.29 million on the DSE, riding on Grameephone and Monno Ceramics.
Grameenphone Limited dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 110.91 million changing hands till then.
Of the issues traded till then, 157 advanced, 103 declined and 72 issues remained unchanged.
However, the port city bourse, the CSE, saw negative trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX – declining 44.38 points or 0.27 percent to stand at 16269.50 also at 12:14 pm.
Out of 137 issues traded, 54 gained, 63 declined and 20 remained unchanged with shares worth Tk 46.89 million traded.
