The key index of DSE, DSEX, went down by 21.88 points or 0.41 percent to close the day at 5196.03 points.
The DSE Shariah Index saw loss of 9.15 points or 0.76 percent to close at 1194.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, also shed over 12.69 points or 0.69 percent to finish at 1812.81.
Of the issues traded, 103 gained, 173 declined and 65 remained unchanged.

“Investors’ sentiment regarding the market remains shaky and they adopted 'lie low' approach following recent earnings declarations,” said EBL securities in its daily market analysis.
BRAC Bank Limited dominated the DSE turnover chart with exchanging shares worth Tk 170.70 million followed by Fortune Shoes and Square Pharmaceuticals.
Top five losers at DSE are UNITEDINS, PREMIERCEM, NFML, PRAGATIINS and SONARBAINS while top five gainers at DSE are DAFODILCOM, SSSTEEL, AAMRANET, FIRSTFIN and EXIM1STMF.
The CSE overall share index, CASPI also declined 50.28 points or 0.31 percent to reach 15,912 points at the close today.
Of the 206 issues traded, 69 advanced, 105 suffered loss and 32 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 117.11 million.
