DHAKA: Both the bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed mixed trends in the early hours of trading on Thursday (June 13).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 6.22 points or -0.11 percent to stand at 5,463.40 at 11:13am.
The two other indices at DSE also edged lower. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 0.26 points or 0.02 percent to stand at 1,241.38 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips also declined 3.31 points or 0.17 percent to stand at 1914.04 points.
Trade deals stood at 33,838 with transaction at over Tk 1,225.41 million on the DSE.
Of the issues traded till then, 132 advanced, 114 declined and 66 issues remained unchanged.
Silco Pharmaceuticals Ltd dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 100.25 million changing hands till then followed by JMI Syringes and medical Devices Peoples Insurance Company Ltd.
But, the port city bourse saw upward trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CASPI – gaining 1.52 points or 0.009 percent to stand at 16737.05 points, also at 11:10am.
Of the 103 issues traded till then, 41 gained, 41 declined and 21 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 50.28 million.
