Gold price rises by Tk 1166 per bhori

DHAKA: Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) on Thursday (June 13) decided to increase the price of gold again.

According to the new rate, price of gold has been increased by Tk 1,166 per bhori (11.664 grams).

The new rate will be effective from Friday (June 14), says a press release signed by BAJUS general secretary Dilip Kumar.

Gold in the local market will be sold at Tk 51,322 per bhori of 22-carat from Friday.

In the release, BAJUS said that the newly fixed prices of different carats of gold are: a bhori of 21-carat gold is Tk 48,988, 18-carat Tk 43,973, and the traditional gold and silver price remained unchanged.

BAJUS general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwala told Banglanews that the price of gold has been increased in the country's market as the prices of gold has increased in the international market the price. This price has been advised to be sold until the next announcement.
