DHAKA: Trading on the country's two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway with mixed trends of share-price indices on Sunday (July 28), the first session of the week.
After first two hours of trading, the key index of the country's premier bourse, edge 0.05 points up while the Selective Category Index of the port city bourse lost 1.28points.
The DSEX benchmark went up by 0.05points or 0.001percent to stand at 5133.at 12:58 pm.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 1.35points or 0.11 percent to 1175.08.
But the DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 0.45 points or 0.02 percent to stand at 1836.64points.
Trade deals stood at 68,873 with transaction at over Tk 2,325.81 million on the DSE, riding on LankaBangla Finance and Rangpur Foundry.
Of the issues traded till then, 121 advanced, 186 declined and 40 issues remained unchanged.
United Power Generation and Distribution Company Ltd topped the turnover leaders with shares worth Tk 147:71 million changing hands till then, followed by Bangladesh Shipping Corporation and Fortune Shoes Ltd
However, the port city bourse CSE saw negative trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX - losing 1.28 points to stand at 15,712 points, also at 12:52 pm.
Of the 221issues traded till then, 71 gained, 122 declined and 28 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 68.07million.
