DHAKA: Imran Kadir has been elected as the President of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dhaka North for the next term.
JCI Dhaka North elected its executive body and board members for the year-2020 during a meeting of general members held at Six Seasons Hotel Dhaka recently.
Imran Kadir shared his vision for 2020.
He said: “We will emphasize on creating potential youth leadership, women empowerment in workplaces, sustainable environment, mental health and wellbeing of people, which will be core areas of our work.”
Currently, Imran is-- a media practitioner--working in a leading newspaper. He is also involved with a few start-up ventures and global advisor of Global Youth Parliament which is an international NGO, having its headquarters in Nepal.
Fatima Akther Naz was also elected as the executive vice president while Nahida Akther and Abdul Malek Tushar were elected as vice presidents.
The following members were selected as follows: Parvez Ahmed as general legal counsel; Rraihatul Jannah Tabin as secretary general; Shakhawat Hossain as treasurer; Mahira Habib as immediate past president; Ziaur Rahman, Shafaq Hussain, Mohammad Anisul Islam as directors.
