KURIGRAM: Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said prices of essentials including onion would come down in the middle of next month.
The minister was replying to reporters at Bhurungamari Pilot Govt High School in Kurigram on Sunday (January 19).
Tipu Munshi said: “We are trying to keep prices of commodities including onion at a considerable level. There is no scope to import onions from India even though India is willing, because the government has no chance to participate in India’s auction.”
The minister was the chief guest at centennial festival of Bhurungamari Pilot Govt. High School.
