E-commerce venture GoGrabi hits market focusing community-based grocery delivery alongside of creating employments following ‘Social Enterprise’ model.
GoGrabi, an initiative by Nexio Retail Concept’s Limited, plans to utilize a hyper-local model and provide a fast and cheap grocery shopping experience to the customers all over Dhaka from October, said a press release on Wednesday.
Regarding the venture, GoGrabi Founder and Chief Executive Ziaur Rahman said the firm aims to make a meaningful contribution to a better and greener future reducing poverty alongside of ethical practice.
“As a social good company, the core values of GoGrabi embody the promise of doing something good for the people and the environment,” he added.
Instead of delivery personnel concept, GoGrabi will share profit with ‘Shoppers’ following the shared economy model. Shoppers will reach products from market to customer’s home, officials claimed.
GoGrabi management led by retired Navy captain Shahidul Islam while Amir Ashraf Uddin Khan Miraz, Monzurul Alam and USA-based Saaze Corporation representative Mariam Ispahani are in the Board.
Around 10,000 shopkeepers across 300 markets in Dhaka has onboard with the grocery-focused ecommerce platform, according to the official.
