The government has appointed Ahmed Jamal, deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank, as the director of the Board of Directors and member of the Executive Committee of the bank for next three years.
Bank and Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance issued a press release in this regard on Monday.
According to the release, Jamal's appointment came into effect from Sunday (January 17).
Earlier on March 1, 2018, the government appointed Ahmed Jamal as the deputy governor for three years. Prior to that appointment, he was the executive director of the central bank.
