Bashundhara City Shopping Mall, the country’s largest shopping centre and a concern of Bashundhara Group, will remain open on Tuesday (April 13).

Habibur Rahman, general manager of Bashundhara City, said on Monday (April 11) that despite the weekly holiday (Tuesday), the mega shopping mall would remain open tomorrow at the request of buyers, sellers and visitors.

The shopping mall would maintain health guidelines to protect shopkeepers, employees and customers in the given circumstances as usual, he also said.The first eight floors of the 21-storey building have been used for shopping while the remaining floors are being used for official purposes.

There are about 2325 shops in the shopping mall portion of the building. 

The food court of Bashundhara City Shopping mall is located on level-8 and a Multiplex Cinema Hall is on the same level. 

There is a large gym located underground or the basement level while an amusement center is on the upper floor for children.This fully air-conditioned shopping mall with roof garden is considered as one of the symbols of modernization of Dhaka city.

According to officials concerned, about 25,000 people every day visit the shopping mall, the first western-style commercial building in Bangladesh.

The mega shopping mall is open for visitors from 9 am to 9 pm every day except weekly holidays. They are visiting the Bashundhara City maintaining the health guidelines amid the Covid-19 situation.
