Bashundhara Cement, a concern of country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, has signed an agreement to supply cement to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge project.
IHI-SMCC JV, a Joint Venture of two Japanese Multinational Companies for the Construction of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway signed the agreement with Bashundhara Cement on Thursday (November 18).
According to people concerned, the implementation of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge project by the renowned Japanese companies will help improve the country's communication system.
The fresh deal has been made as the construction companies are satisfied with the service and quality of Bashundhara Cement, they added.
On behalf of IHI-SMCC JV, Project Manager Shinji Kaifuku, Deputy Project Manager Yasuyoshi Watanabe, Lead, QA/QC, Tanzil Ahmed Apon were present in the programme.
On behalf of Bashundhara Group, Chief Marketing Officer (Cement Sector) Khandaker Kingshuk Hossain, Chief Executive Officer (BIDL-Dredging) Commodore M Khurshid Malik (retd), Head of Finance (Treasurer, Sector B) Nure Alam Siddiqui, AGM (Corporate Sales) A.K.M. Lutful Hoque (Khosru) and other senior officials attended the ceremony.
