Internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi actor Jaya Ahsan has become a brand ambassador of Bashundhara LPG, the country’s leading liquefied petroleum gas brand.
On behalf of Bashundhara Group, Sector-A Chief Operating Officer MM Jasim Uddin and Jaya Ahsan signed an agreement at a function at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarter-2 in the capital on Tuesday.
Bashundhara LPG chief financial officer Mahbub Alam, head of sales Jakaria Jalal, head of human resource Saad Tanvir and supply chain general manager Sarowar Hossain Sohag were also present on the occasion.
Sector-A chief operating officer MM Jasim Uddin said Bashundhara LPG has been promoting clean fuel in line with the vision of the government to ensure energy security for all.
“LPG is recognised as clean fuel across the world. Bashundhara LPG has been maintaining international standards in operations. Making Jaya Ahsan as the brand ambassador of Bashundhara LPG, the company will further excel in its brand promotion,” he said.
Bashundhara LPG recently won an international award for its contribution to alternative energy and for supporting the country’s sustainable development goals.
The journey with Jaya Ahsan will take the Bashundhara LPG brand to a new height capitalizing her popularity among Bengali speaking communities across the world, hoped the official.
In reaction, Jaya Ahsan said the Bashundhara brand appears in the top list when we think about the LPG.
“I always try to stand by environment-focused issues. As the Bashundhara LPG promotes clean fuel, I am proud to become a member of the Bashundhara LPG family. It is already a top brand in the market,” she said.
Chief Financial Officer Mahbub Alam termed the agreement with Joya Ahsan as a new benchmark for Bashundhara LPG to reach the messages of the brand to people across the country.
Bashundhara LPG head of sales Jakaria Jalal said the market-leading brand has been setting examples for other players in the market for the last two decades through people-centric initiatives.
“Jaya Ahsan will participate in different campaigns and television commercials soon. The actress has achieved national film awards several times along with international recognition,” he said.
Jaya Ahsan bagged the international Filmfare Awards two times in 2018 and 2021 for her outstanding performance in films Bijoya, Robibar and Bishorjon.
She received Bangladesh National Film Award as Best Actress four times for her performance in Guerrilla, Chorabali, Zero Degree and Debi.
As the first company in the LP gas sector in Bangladesh, Bashundhara LPG has invested billions in the last two decades for supporting the household cooking industry with alternative energy.
