Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of gold in the domestic market by Tk 3,265 per bhori.
The price of 22 carat gold increased by Tk 3,265 to Tk 78,265 per bhori (11.664 grams) while 21 carat gold increased by Tk 3,091 to Tk 74,766 and 18 carat gold increased by 2,333 to Tk 64,152.
The new rate will be effective from Thursday (Mar 3), says a press release.
BAJUS Standing Committee on Price Fixation and Price Monitoring decided to raise the prices of gold at a meeting held on March 1.
Later, a press release signed by MA Hannan, chairman of BAJUS Standing Committee on Price Fixation and Price Monitoring was issued.
