JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY: The Ruchi National Debate Championship-2014 began at the university on Monday.

Jahangirnagar University Debate Organization (JUDO) in association with ‘Ruchi’ brand of Square Consumer Products Limited organized the competition.

County’s one of the largest online news portal “banglanews24.com” is the media partner of this 6-day long function.

JU vice chancellor professor Farza Islam inaugurated the competition at the Zahir Raihan Auditorium in the campus on Monday afternoon followed by a freshers' reception and debate workshop.

The function will feature 7th Inter University Debate Championship 2014, 4th Inter College Debate Championship 2014 and 4th Inter School Debate Championship 2014.

Some 32 schools and 30 colleges will take part in the competition, which will end on May 10.

A bus will leave Bangabazar in the city at 7:00am and the campus at 9:00pm daily during the function to carry the debaters.|
