Noted actor Mahmud Sajjad no more

Noted actor Mahmud Sajjad died at a hospital in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon at the age of 74.

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment in Evercare Hospital around 3:30pm 

M Hamid, the actor's brother, confirmed the news to 

Earlier on September 1 on Sajjad was admitted to Evercare Hospital upon testing positive for Covid-19, he said. 

Later when his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the ICU, he added. 

Mahmud Sajjad made his acting debut with renowned director Zahir Raihan's film, "Sangsar". His other notable films include Khan Ataur Rahman's "Jhorer Pakhi", "Apon Por", and Aziz Azhar's "Chokher Joley", among many others.

Later, he was engaged with acting in TV and theatre plays.
