DHAKA: The foundation stone of the Emergency Department has been laid at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in city.

Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the university Professor Dr Kamrul Hasan Khan laid the foundation stone around Saturday morning, a press release said.

Pro-VC (Academic) Professor Md. Ruhul Amin Miah, Pro-VC (Research & Development) Professor Dr. Md. Shahidullah Sikder, Pro-VC (Administration) Prof. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed, Treasurer Professor Md. Ali Asgor Morol, Registrar Professor Md. Ashadul Islam, Proctor Prof. Md. Habibur Rahman (Dulal), Director (Hospital) Brig. Gen. (retd.) Md. Abdul Majid Bhuiyan, Director (Planning) Prof. Abu Nasar Rizvi and Chief Engineer Srikanta Roy were, among others, present at the event.
