One person died of dengue fever and 67 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours till 8 am Saturday (July 23).

The Directorate General for Health Services (DGHS) today issued a release on the country's Dengue situation.

According to the DGHS, in the 24 hours, 63 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka while 4 others were admitted outside the capital.

Besides, 261 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 58 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 2,081 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 1,756 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, six died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Dhaka till July 23 this year.
