One person died of dengue fever and 60 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours till 8 am Monday (July 25).

The Directorate General for Health Services (DGHS) today issued a release on the country's Dengue situation.

According to the DGHS, in the 24 hours, 40 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka while 20 others were admitted outside the capital.

Besides, 212 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 64 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 2,206 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 1,923 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, seven died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Dhaka till July 25 this year.
