The government is likely to start vaccinating children aged 5 to 11 years against coronavirus on August 7 through a pilot vaccination programme.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Professor Dr. Khurshid Alam said that corona vaccination of children aged 5-12 years will begain from the capital on Monday (August 1).

He said it is not possible to vaccinate all the children in the country with the amount of vaccines we have at the moment. So we will initially start from Dhaka city.

Health Minister Zahid Malek will give more details about the vaccination of children, he added.
