The country reported 87 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning (August 7), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 73 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, fourteen dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 315 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 72 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 3,184 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 2,782 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, fifteen died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Dhaka till August 6 this year.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
