Dengue: 139 hospitalised in last 24 hours

The country reported 139 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Monday morning (August 22), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 122 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 17 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 429 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 67 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 4,619 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 4,104 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, 19 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Dhaka till August 22 this year.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
