The country reported 180 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning (August 25), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 143 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 46 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 467 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 105 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 5,117 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 4,526 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, 19 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Dhaka till August 10 this year.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
