Two dengue patients died and 381 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Saturday (Sep 17).

In the 24 hours, 302 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 79 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,103 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 390 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 10,777 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 9,240 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 44 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today. 

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
