Dengue: One dies, 399 hospitalised in last 24 hours

One dengue patient died and 399 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Saturday (Sep 19).

In the 24 hours, 280 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 119 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,089 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 394 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 11,117 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 9,649 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 45 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today. 

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
