Dengue: One dies, 431 hospitalised in last 24 hours

One dengue patient died and 431 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Wednesday (Sep 21).

In the 24 hours, 328 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 103 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,190 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 367 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 12,438 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 10,835 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 46 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today. 

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
