Dengue: 440 hospitalised in last 24 hours

The country reported 440 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning (Sep 24), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 325 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 115 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,272 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 356 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 13,440 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 11,762 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 50 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
