The country reported 440 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning (Sep 25), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 309 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 131 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,296 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 354 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 13,880 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 12,880 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 50 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
