DHAKA: Second bilateral talks on ‘Defence and Military Strategy’ between Bangladesh and USA are set to be held from Tuesday (November 5) to Thursday (November 7) in Dhaka.
US embassy in Dhaka confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Sources from US embassy said that the talks will include discussion on the depth of existing bilateral relationship and the military power. Both the countries also, in the talks, will uphold their promises for peace and prosperity of the zone.
Aim of the talks between BD-USA is to extend and strengthen the bilateral relationship in the military affairs, sources added.
On behalf of Bangladesh, under the leadership of Defence Ministry, Home Ministry, Foreign Ministry, Disaster Management Ministry, Army, Air Force, Bangladesh Coast Guard and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) delegate will participate in the talks.
While, dialogue led-by the Pacific Command of USA, USA Pacific Fleet, USA Pacific Air Force, USA Pacific Marine Corps Force, Special Operations Command Pacific, Oregon National Guard State Partnership Programme, Centre for Excellence, Disaster Management and Assistance to Human and Joint Inter Agency Task Force (West) will join the talks.
