157 bodies identified after DNA test

DHAKA: Some 157 bodies were identified after testing DNA of the unidentified 322 people died in Rana Plaza collapse at Savar.

National DNA Profile Laboratory of Dhaka Medical College Hospital made the tests.

Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment Mikail Shipar made the disclosure while talking to journalists on Monday morning.

He also said that the legal heirs of the identified be given Tk 2-5 lakh as compensation.

On April 24, a total of 1128 people died in Rana Plaza collapse.
