FROM PARLIAMENT: Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance Ministry submitted much-talked-about Grameen Bank Bill-2013 by keeping the provision to appoint chairman and managing director of the bank by the government after approval of central bank.
Chairman of the Committee Lotus Kamal tabled the bill in the parliament Monday.
Three others bill were also placed before the House at the same time from respective committees.
On October 27, Finance Minster AMA Muhith presented Grameen Bank Bill-2013.
If the bill is passed, the Grameen Bank Ordinance-1983 will be repealed.
