CHAPAINAWABGANJ: A man was killed and 15 other were injured in an attack of miscreants at Ranihati bazaar under Shibganj Upazila of the district on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Kafil Uddin.

Local sources said that a gang of armed miscreants attacked toll house of Ranihati bazaar at around 7:30pm and blasted cocktails randomly, leaving one dead on the spot and 15 injured.

The critically injured two were sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Chapainawabganj Police Super Bashir Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Additional police forces were deployed in the area, he added.
