MANIKGANJ: A Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinee allegedly committed suicide by taking poison at Dhankora village under Saturia upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased is Israt Jahan Trisha, 14, daughter of expatriate Karim Mia of the area and JSC candidate of Manikganj Govt High School.

Sources said Trisha allegedly committed suicide by taking poison in the morning at their rented house in Manikganj town.

She was rushed to Manikganj Sadar Hospital where she died in the noon.

However, reason behind her suicide could not be known immediately.

Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Razaul said an unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
