COMILLA: Four platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were deployed at Chauddagram and Sadar upazila on Sunday afternoon.

The BGB personnel were deployed around 1.00pm to avert any untoward situation amid 18-party called 84-hour countrywide hartal.

Comilla-10 BGB Commander Lieutenant Colonel Shahriar confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier, at least seven Jamaat-Shibir activists got bullet injuries and another 12 wounded critically after a fierce clash with law enforcers around 11.30pm.

Later, police nabbed two Jamaat-Shibir activists for their alleged involved in the clash.
