BOGRA: Bangladesh Sarak Paribahan Sramik Federation called a 12-hour strike in 16 districts of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions for Thursday demanding immediate release of Shimul Biswas.
Confirming the matter, President of Bogra Motor Sramik Union Abdul Latif Mondal told banglanews that they the strike would be enforced from 6:00am to 6:00pm Thursday.

During the time, haulage of all the heavier vehicles including Bus and trucks will be closed, sources said.
Abdul Latif Mondal also said they would submit a memorandum to Bogra Deputy Commissioner in this connection.
In this regard, a meeting was held with president of Gaibandha District Motor Sramik Union Abdur Rashid Sarder.
Transport leaders forewarned the government that they would go for stern movements if Advocate Shimul Biswas, also special assistant to the opposition BNP Chairperson Khalda Zia, is not released.
On November 9, Detective Branch (DB) Police arrested BNP Chairperson’s advisor Abdul Awal Mintu and personal assistant Shimul Biswas from Chairperson’s Gulshan residence.
