2 siblings burnt in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: Two siblings were burnt when blockade supporters torched a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in front of Almas cinema under Kotwali Thana of the port city on Wednesday morning.

The injured are Abdul Alam, 32, and Morshed, 20, sons of Syed Ahmed.

Witnesses said that blockade supporters brought out a procession at around 8:00am and set fire to a CNG-run auto rickshaw carrying the two brothers, leaving them critically injured.

Later, passers-by rescued the victims and sent them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

Confirming the matter, CMCH police outpost Assistant Sub-Inspector Pankaj Barua told banglanews, “Miscreants set fire to the auto vehicle while the victims were going to their shops by a CNG-run auto rickshaw.”
