Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday (October 6) said sudden uproar regarding fair and impartial election is suspicious.

She said while addressing a press conference to brief the media about her recent visit to the United States to join the 78th UNGA.

The premier said “When the country is moving forward economically, why is everyone talking so much about free and fair elections? It’s doubtable! Actually they are targeting to foil the upcoming elections.”

PM remarked saying, “Those who know will not get the people's vote by election. They are protesting everywhere, because they have billions of money.”

“We fought for votes with our blood, I risked my own life; I have earned the right to vote for the people of this country, therefore I don’t need to teach voting rights” PM said.

Awami League does not need to steal votes. People vote for Awami League spontaneously. We earn trust through work, the premier added.
