A youth was killed by electrocution in Brahmanbaria on Friday (October 6) afternoon.

The deceased identified was Hridoy, 22. He is the son of Hossain Mia of Narsingsar village of Natai South Union of Sadar Upazila. He lived with his family in a rented house in Paschimpara of Gokarnaghat area.

The incident took place in Gokarnaghat area of the district town.

According to locals Hridiya was electrocuted and seriously injured. When he was rescued and taken to Brahmanbaria District Sadar Hospital, the doctor declared him dead.

Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Aslam Hossain confirmed the matter.

The body has been kept in the mortuary of Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital, he said.
