Three people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed and two others injured after a truck ran over them in Muktagacha upazila of Mymensingh on Monday (January 22).

The deceased were identified as Hamida Begum, 40, her daughter Adiba, 3 and Mrinal, 65, a retired school teacher.

Md Faruk Ahmed, Officer-in-charge of Muktagacha Police Station confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said the accident occurred on Mymensingh-Tangail highway in Cherumondol area in upazila around 2pm.

Three passengers of a battery-operated auto-rickshaw were killed on the spot after being hit by a truck in the afternoon, he added.
