Three people, including a child, have been killed by a train in Tangail's Kalihati on Friday (February 2).

The accident took place around 8:30 pm in Analiabari area of the upazila.

The deceased could not be identified immediately. However, the police said that they were from Natore.

SI Toueb Ali of Bangabandhu Setu East Police Station confirming the matter said that a passenger bus broke down in Analiyabari area on Friday night. 

At that time, when the bus was being repaired, the passengers were walking on the railway line next to the highway. At that time, a child and two persons were killed when the Nilphamari-bound Chilahati Express run over them, he said.

On receiving information, their bodies were recovered, said the official.
