Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army SM Shafiuddin Ahmed today (February 20) expressed his hope to finish Dhaka-Narail- Jashore rail track by April this year.

Besides, Shafiuddin said when the government hands over a development project, army completes that with highest priority, and Dhaka-Narail- Jashore rail track is no exception.

He made the remark to reporters during Narail Rail station construction site visit today. 

Army Chief said, ‘Deadline for finish the project was this year June, but we are hoping to finish by April. Then it can be inaugurated.’

Later, the army chief inspected various development activities including the construction of four-lane road in Narail city.
