A devastating fire broke out at a cold storage in Chattogram’s Bakalia area on Friday (Mar 1) morning.

Officials at Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) station said the fire started around 10:45am and seven firefighting units from three different stations rushed to the spot.

The blaze is yet to be doused till filing of the report at 12:45pm.

Deputy Assistant Director of Agrabad Fire Service Abdullah Haroon Pasha confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

FSCD said the building was under construction.

The cold storage was newly built there, he said.
