A fire that broke out at a shoe factory in Old Dhaka's Chawkbazar area has been doused.

The incident happened around 1pm on Monday (March 11). 

Later, nine units of the fire service brought the blaze under control around 1:40 pm.

Fire Service Duty Officer Rafi Al Farooq confirmed the matter.

He said, the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.

No casualties were reported yet, the fire official said.
