Road crashes kill 4 in 2 dists

DHAKA: Four people were killed and four others injured in separate road crashes in two districts on Thursday morning.

Banglanews Dinajpur correspondent reports:

At least two people were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Kishanbazar under sadar upazila of the district around 9:30am.

One deceased was identified as Mostafijur Rahman, 50, a resident of the district town. Identity of another deceased could not be known immediately after the incident.

Witnesses said a human hauler collided head-on with a tractor at Kishanbazar and fell into a ditch, leaving two passengers of the human hauler dead on the spot and injured three others.

Injured were admitted to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital.

Moulvibazar correspondent reports:

Two people were killed and one was injured in a road accident on Moulvibazar-Samshernagar road in the district around 6:00am.

The identity of deceased could not be known immediately but injured was a rickshaw puller.

Witnesses said that a truck rammed a rickshaw carrying the victims in the area, leaving two dead on the spot and injured the rickshaw puller.
 
On information, police rushed to the spot and body was sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue.

Moulvibazar Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Azizur Rahman told banglanews that the driver along with the truck fled the scene.
