COMILLA: The Dhaka-Chittagong highway saw a 52km-long tailback on Friday following the end of hartal & blockade spells of the opposition 18-party alliance.
The traffic gridlock was created from early Friday pushing thousands of passengers into immense suffering as all modes of transport, including buses, trucks, covered vans, tank lorries and private cars, started to run following the end of the opposition-enforced 6-day-long blockade.
Assistant Sub-Inspector of Daudkandi Highway police Kamrul Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
