Sister sues Transcom CEO for killing brother

A case was filed against Transcom Group CEO Simeen Rahman for killing her elder brother Arshad Waliur Rahman by allegedly poisoning on 16 March.

Shahzreh Haque, younger sister of Simeen Rahman and daughter of the late chairman of Transcom Group, filed the case with the Gulshan Police Station on Friday.

DMP Gulshan Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rifat Rahman Shamim confirmed the matter.

Apart from Simeen Rahman, 10 other people were accused in the case.

The other defendants in the case are Simeen Rahman's son and Transcom Limited's Head of Transformation Zaraif Ayat Hossain, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs (Law) Fakhruzzaman Bhuiyan, 60, Director of Corporate Finance Kamrul Hasan, 61, Manager of Corporate Affairs Selina Sultana, 45, Manager of Corporate Affairs KH Md Shahadat Hossain, 50, Manager (Medical Affairs) of SKF Pharmaceuticals Murad, 50, Marketing and Sales Department Executive Director Dr Md Mujahidul Islam, 55, Md Zahid Hossain, 55, Rafiq, 55, and Mirazul, 40.

Rifat Rahman Shamim mentioned that Shahzreh Haque, alleged that her brother Arshad Waliur Rahman was not ill and that he was killed by the accused through a plotted scheme.

Earlier in February, Shahzreh Haque had filed three cases against her elder sister, mother, and eight Transcom officials at the Gulshan police station.
