The international election experts regarding the Russian presidential election that was held from March 16 to 18 said it met the highest standards of democratic accountability and professionalism.
Russia's three-day presidential election produced expected results, election observers remarked after the polls.
Vladimir Putin has been elected president of Russia for the fifth time with absolute victory. Putin got 87 percent of the votes in this election.
According to experts, Putin is so popular in his country that people voted for him.
An international team of experts monitored the elections in the Russian Republic of Moldova during the elections.
Among the international observers who arrived in Dagestan were Algerian Representative Saeed Amal Benjamouri, Bangladesh Representative Engineer Hasan Imam and Journalist Hossein Mohammad Sagar, Lebanese Representative Karam Marusya Pierovna, Yemeni Representative Al Qasadi Ahad Saleh, Nigerian Representative Abul Fateh Al Hosseini and Sierra Leone Representative Abbas Omar.
As part of the election monitoring, the delegation held a meeting with the relevant officials at the Election Commission of the Republic of Moldova.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Election Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan Magomed Dbirov, the Commissioner of Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jamal Aliyev and the members of the Election Committee of the Republic.
They introduced the foreign guests to the electoral process in the region.
In addition, these international experts also visited the Public Chamber of the Republic of Dagestan as part of the presidential election.
Foreign guests were welcomed by the Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Dagestan Azizbek Cherkesov, his deputy Saparbeg Abdullayev and members of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Dagestan.
International observers visited various polling stations in Dubki village of Kazbekov district of Dagestan, Derbent city, Khunzakh village of Khunzakh district, Mykachkala, the capital of Dagestan.
International experts about the election said, “Not a single voter or anyone expressed their concerns or complaints to them. This election has met the highest standards of democratic accountability and professionalism and we are very confident that the Election Commission has done its job with integrity and professionalism.”
They also said that this election was open and transparent. “We believe that Russia has a long tradition of elections and that Russia's political process is steadily evolving through these elections.”
Earlier in a meeting, senior officials of the Russian Election Commission, Habibullah and Jadat, provided with various directions to the international delegation regarding election monitoring.
