Nepali authorities apprehended five Bangladeshi citizens residing unlawfully in Kathmandu’s Sohrakhutte area after the expiration of their visas.
According to Superintendent of Police Nakul Pokharel, information officer at the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Md Rifat Ahamed, 26, Md Abdullah, 23, Md Samsual Hoda, 45, Abdul Biswas, 30, and Md Masum Miya, 36, were arrested from Sohrakhutte, Kathmandu.
Police on March 22 took Biswas and Miya under custody, while the other three were apprehended on Monday, said Pokharel.
The detained Bangladeshis have been handed over to the Department of Immigration in Kalikasthan for further action, said officials.
