Three people were killed and four others injured after a bus hit an autorickshaw in Magura's Shalikha upazila on Friday night (Mar 29).

The accident took place around 10:30pm in Shotokhali Hajambari Mor.

The deceased were Nirupoma Rani Dey, 40, Pushpo Rani Dey,50, and Biswanath Kundu.

Quoting locals, Shalikha police station SI Imran said all the victims were returning their respective homes from Magura city's Niznanduali area by a CNG-run autorickshaw at night. When the vehicle reached Shotokhali Hajambari intersection, a passenger bus hit the vehicle, leaving three dead on the spot, he added.

The bodies were kept at the hospital for post-mortem, police said, adding legal action would be taken in this regard.
