A female student of Dhaka University (DU) was found dead at her residence in the varsity's residential area on Fuller Road early Sunday (March 31).

Adrita Binte Mosharraf, 21, was a first-year student of the Management Department and the daughter of the department's head Prof Mosharaff Hossain.

Adrita resided with her family on the third floor of residential building number 19 on the DU campus.

According to family members, Adrita committed suicide early Sunday. Getting her body hanging from the ceiling fan, they informed the police.

being informed, Shahbag Police Station's Officer-in-Charge Mostazirur Rahman and his team promptly rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

The body was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctor pronounced her dead.
